Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 April 2026

DayNook ("we", "us", or "our") is a family organiser app. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use DayNook on iOS or via the web.

1. Information We Collect

2. How We Use Your Information

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore), hosted in the United States. Google Calendar OAuth tokens are stored in your personal Firebase user document and are accessible only to you.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except:

5. Google Calendar Integration

DayNook's use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google Calendar access only to create, update, and delete events that you add in DayNook, in the calendar you select. We do not read, store, or share events from your Google Calendar.

6. Children's Privacy

DayNook is intended for use by adults managing family schedules. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. You can disconnect Google Calendar at any time from within the app's Settings screen, which will revoke our access and delete stored tokens.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including Firebase Security Rules to restrict data access to authenticated users. OAuth tokens are stored encrypted at rest by Firebase.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via the app or by email. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
